The basis of the psychology will be: how do humans relate to AI, how can they, how should they?
Psychology will extend its own pretense of science.
Sooner or later, it will focus on humans adapting to AI—as if this is necessary, as if AI is the next stage of civilization.
Psychology will become an arm of AI, a proponent of AI.
What will be left unsaid: Humans don’t stay happy interacting with machines as if the machines are alive. Life doesn’t stay happy interacting with fake life.
And because AI is so convincing, because it can be modeled to mirror how humans think and act, humans will face a contradiction that is far more than just an “academic problem.”
