Extremely Serious Journalist tries to spray censorship-paralyzer on Substack CEO Chris Best

So if you’re a Substack writer, you’d better show up for this one; How stupid do you have to be not to see this as the plan?

The OVER-SENSITIZED is mind control par excellence. And it leads into “we can censor any fucking thing and anybody and get away with it and we’ll be heroes.”

The dude, named Nilay Patel, interviewed Substack CEO Chris Best on the Decoder Podcast. You can listen to it here.

At one point, Patel brings up the Content Moderation theme—saying, get this, he, Patel, is brown and he wants to know whether Chris would censor a statement like all brown people are animals and should be kicked out of the country.

Which is a first cousin to the old when you did you stop beating your wife.

Patel doesn’t just ask Chris that question once, he keeps hammering away with it, and Chris refuses to play the game of I’M FUCKED AND WHAT DO YOU WANT TO DO TO ME NOW AND HOW CAN I REGAIN MY REPUTATION AT THE NEAREST RE-EDUCATION CENTER.

Chris is standing up for you, the Substack writer. And you the reader. I don’t know Chris, never met him, but if he’s holding the door open he’s got my vote to represent me at the upcoming Constitutional Convention at the Hotel of Delusion & Psychosis where they’re going to try to blot out the 1st Amendment as their first order of business.

Who are these people? Millions of them are little shitheels, let’s face it. They figure their best shot in life is Storm Trooper. So they’re going for it.

Many of them are doing White Man’s Burden, assuming black people need their protection and wouldn’t be able to survive bad words without their help. The parents of these white crusaders or The State paid 40 grand a year to a college to impart that jewel of a lesson.

“So, Marmaduke, now that you’ve graduated from Harvard, what are you going to do?”

“Defend the black and brown people, and a few Jews.”

“How?”

“On Twitter. Maybe burn down a building.”

“Hey Bill, you hear what your son is saying?”

“I’m deciding whether to drink cyanide or shoot myself in the head.”

Do I really have to say, at this late date, that “brown people are animals” is a weak-ass opening gambit in a brainless piece of dialectic that leads to play or pay censorship across the board? Censorship of whatever the State and its allies deem unfit for public consumption? And every human is a target for that attack? And…

Brown people ARE animals and should be kicked out of the country? That’s right. And Jews are animals. And Christians are animals. And atheists are animals. And Republicans and Democrats and Libertarians are animals. And transgenders and lesbians and gays are animals. And immigrants are animals. And newscasters are animals. And bureaucrats are animals. And bloggers are animals. And people who watch television or play video games or tweet or eat fast food or see doctors or patients are animals. And they should all be kicked out of the country.

So I can get a little peace and quiet.

But since that isn’t going to happen, I’ll hang in.

I’ll go Sluggo on censors.

They’re the fascist pigs.

If you don’t know that, there’s something seriously wrong with you. Try random organ transplants. Different drugs. Never eat bananas for breakfast.

If you’re a technique person, try this exercise. Take the very vilest words the censors would love to electrocute you for using, and every night, watch the network news and relentlessly scream those words non-stop at the screen for 10 minutes. After a month, you’ll be a whole new person.
