I can't comment at length: I worked in that field w/ the world class scientists at NIH.. even back then, frankly, and I commented at length on CRSPR techniques.. it is still a crap shoot. NO KIDDING. As a retired Molecular Biologist and having worked for the man who actually "first" conceived (it was two people) the ONCOGENE theory and I personally extracted DNA and RNA and used Reverse Transcriptase from RNA viruses in the 70s and our team was the best of the best, we all knew that many people like Robert Gallo and many people who worked w/HIV and others were just cooking up witches brews. I can count on one hand the people who actually understood the science .. and to this day that hasn't changed. The real scientists are NOT on the internet.. let's put it that way. As a retired scientist I immediately grasped Crspr when it was announced and knew what it meant.. but we still have yet to identify the functionality of the HUMAN GENOME. We gave it a name but we still don't know how to actually USE IT and make it work. LIke one guy said: OH YEAH. let's see what we can do here.. create "Frankenstein" again.. the Arrogance of humanity. I think Shakespeare said that best.. he has a lot to say.. right on taget about the VANITY OF HUMANITY.. right? :) have a lot to do today.. fascinating post.. thanks
