Death of the hero legend and the collapse of society; reserve your AI Suite at the Transgender Hotel
And, Marc Andreessen has gone quite, quite mad, you know; I’m prescribing rest on a desert island for a year or so
ONE
From a perch, looking at WHAT IS A HERO NOW, you can see the twisted wreckage of distortions.
The ruination on the plains. The desperate darkness of the cities. The freakazoid new idols, whose sex has been surgically removed.
Biden: “On this day and every day, our Administration recognizes the resilience, strength, and joy of transgender, nonbinary, and gender nonconforming people.”
Official designation of new heroes.
“I chopped off my nuts and all I got was this T-shirt with a rainbow on it. I want a plaque from the White House and a statue in Gettysburg.”
“I wore assless pants in the parade. Where’s my Welfare check?”
And this is supposed to be on a par with the legend of Prometheus stealing fire from the gods and giving it to humans—for which he was chained to a rock, his liver eaten by an eagle. Every day his liver would grow back and be eaten again.
In that case, mutilation was the punishment, not the triumph (“gender-affirming surgery”).
But now we have new morbid standards of official heroism.
Wall to wall and ceiling to floor propaganda is aimed at making people buy these new heroes.
We’re supposed to believe that since the dawn of history, both children and adults have yearned for genital destruction and reconstruction. Only NOW has it become possible.
This capacity for delusion must have something to do with the shredding of our public school system. Or as a US senator put it in the film, Bulworth, “And please don’t even start with that school shit. There aint no education going on up in that motherfucker.”

Financier Marc Andreessen (and investor in Substack) has written a piece on his substack titled, “Why AI Will Save the World.”
I mention it because AI itself is scheduled to be become a legendary hero in our new culture.
Here is an indigestible chunk from Andreessen’s ode:
