(This is Part-5 in a series; for Part-6, click here; for Part-4, click here.)
I wrote this piece in several chunks.
PART ONE: I’m ruminating on Presidential candidates when BOOM, word breaks that Joe isn’t going to run in 2024…
When you’re the inner circle putting up a man for President and you know he’s mentally deficient in a serious way—that’s not a mistake.
Nor is it a mistake when you’re the team supporting a man for the same office who exaggerates from here to the moon on a regular basis and always has, in business and life and politics; a man who thinks that’s just a way of selling. You see, the marriage between Donald Trump and Big Pharma makes perfect sense, because they’re both practiced bullshitters. That’s why he called them great guys way back when he was promoting Warp Speed. They reminded him of himself.
That’s why he felt no need or responsibility to bring in independent experts who would assess the dangers of RNA tech for the vaccines.
Creepy Joe with brain damage took it a step farther. He signed on to vaccine mandates.
We already know what both men are.
They made it on to their respective political charts through the art of sleaze and selling/out. One is a carnival barker; the other is a puppet in a show on the carnival’s freak alley.
One does an impression of humanity. The other mimics the self-made man. The hero. Yeah, the hero who hyped the COVID kill shot and stood aside for the economic killer lockdowns.
One part of your mind, if you’re sane, knows politics have always been filled with such men. Another part of your mind registers shock that these two seedy characters are running for the Presidency of the United States. How could this have happened?
It happened because the office of the Presidency, in a federal government bloated far beyond Constitutional recognition, exists as a public relations center—dispensing to the people what they need to believe, and withholding what they mustn’t become aware of.
It stands to reason that persons sitting in that oval office are going to be imitations of reality.
Actors shoveling fantasies at the public for consumption.
They, in turn, have THEIR PR people. Among them, Trump has FOX, Biden has CNN and MSNBC. During the week of the RNC, FOX talking heads treated Trump as if he were Moses coming down off the mountain in a gold Cadillac with God’s Commandments.
Biden and Trump are symbols. Biden is “the universal giver to all those who can’t get what they need on their own.” Trump is “Superman-George Washington sent by God to rescue a nation in distress.”
SYMBOLS. Public relations creations.
Not the actual thing. Not the actual reality. Instead, a stand-in.
Because the person—Biden or Trump—doesn’t really deliver what he promises. Or he delivers something far worse than he promises.
But you want to believe in one man or the other. Probably Trump. I understand that. So do I. If only it were that easy.
But it isn’t. And now we have—
PART TWO: As I’m writing this, the news comes in that Biden has quit the race for the Presidency. In a tweet. Not in person. Not live. What??! He’s sitting in room with a gun to his head? Obama just told him he has to bow out, or else his corrupt biz dealings with foreign entities will suddenly be splashed across the front page of the NY Times?
