Timmy, For years I'd been a registered democrat, and over recent times (including before the pandemic) I found myself marooned in politics. I've questioned vaccines for years and my kids never had them. with the current shots I knew early on we were being lied to. Yet if I mentioned anything I'd get "what are you, a trumper?!" My answer is no I'm not a trumper but I'm not a "bidener" either - which would confuse them. such strange and changing times we live! And we must always be open to change our mind, question everything... So maybe I'll still keep my eyes open for a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow?! :)
Zora: I know how you feel. I'm a Libertarian who hasn't voted since 2012 when I voted for Dr. Ron Paul. Where I live, Sonoma County, Libertarians are maybe 1% of the population. Hillary, Obama, and Biden won over 80% of the votes here.
My sister completely bought into the whole Covid Scamdemic. She wore masks, goggles, sanitized her counters and food deliveries. She took the shots. She wouldn't eat in restaurants. My sister has dis-owned me.
I was a Democrat until LBJ and the CIA killed JFK. Nixon convinced me that the Republicans were even worse. It's a Uni-Party now.
Zora: That's great! I hope Mexico is treating you well. I was surprised that Dr. Paul made the trip to Acapulco. He hates to fly. Maybe a rich friend took him on his private jet. Acapulco is a pretty place.
It was a bunch of his kind of people for sure and he was very much appreciated.
So far so good here, I'm really enjoying it. 6 months so far (San Miguel de Allende) and am moving this weekend into another place for 9 more months...no idea when or if I'll want to get back to the states. Time will tell.
I looked up San Miguel de Allende. What a beautiful city. Famous for artists and writers. Are you an artist or writer? The city was almost abandoned during the early 20th century flu epidemic. Many Americans and Canadians have moved to San Miguel de Allende. Do you have a good ex-pat community? I live in Healdsburg, CA which has been taken over by tourists, hotels, restaurants... Healdsburg was a quiet farming town when I moved here 23 years ago. If you've read or seen the movie "Milagro Beafield War" that is Healdsburg.
I have not heard of that movie! Yes this is an easy town to be in if you don't habla espanol. But I do want to continue learning the language for sure, and I have been, slowly. I don't want to just be here as a tourist.
Did you see in the history that at some point GIs were able to use their GI bill, or something like that, to come here and go to school. language schools, arts and music... There is so much going on here - and there are many celebrations. Many are religious, and also as one woman said to me just yesterday (who works with the homeless here) that they may not even believe in the religion but it is away they be together and have fun. And she said its also a time to party. :)

ha! im currently living in mexico and went to the Anarchapulco event in February in Acapulco. Ron Paul spoke 🙂
