Thanks Jon! This post put a fire of delight into my step on this freezing North Carolina day. You are so right. It's a thrill to go to the shooting range and practice. I've been taping my target practice paper on my front door. My bullseye is one big gaping hole. The good ole' boys at the range tell me I'm a natural. So glad I left…

I've been taping my target practice paper on my front door. My bullseye is one big gaping hole. The good ole' boys at the range tell me I'm a natural. So glad I left L.A. What I love about the gun culture is that it's truly a place where all kinds of people are hanging out together. Last time I went to practice there was a 12 year old boy with his father, a plump housewife with her elderly aunt, a young blonde wearing yoga pants that had a special conceal carry pocket (you'd never find yoga pants like that in L.A.).... men and boys, mothers, young single women, fat, skinny, in shape, out of shape, grandpas and grannies, all ages, all races. What struck me the most is that the women were so strong and confident and that the men loved it. Like your post Jon, a breath of fresh air!
