In a Malcolm Gladwell book (think it was Blink, maybe Tipping Point), he said they had a computer vs doctor diagnosis study. The computer was around 96 or 98% correct. Doctors were around 50% correct.

The medical establishment thought the human interaction was more important than getting it right.

In another book (forgot which), they say that medical malpractice claims go down if the doctor spends a little more time with the patient - it was minutes. Think around 5 minutes.

Medicine has historically been the only profession where getting it wrong has been profitable. They don’t give refunds when they get it wrong. And you have to pay for more medical visits.

This practice has seeped into other businesses today.

Same applies to prescriptions. The truth about medications is they don’t work for everyone. For many, around half will get no benefit. Think it was in Bad Pharma.

The author says many would be better off taking a sugar pill. The placebo effect is around 30%.

Misdiagnosis is another staunch pillar of the wretched modern medical mafia. If offers the opportunity for more tests, and still more tests followed by tons of drugs and maybe an intervention or two.

Plus you get to see a dozen idiot doctors who will charge you $147 for a 5 minute visit. That's about $1,700/hour. See why medicine is so expensive for nothing given in return?

The medical mafia and the HHS have no desire to make anyone well or healthy. Almost 19% of the economy depends on 10's of millions of people becoming ill and diseased every year and then becoming life long wards of the medical system. It can be no other way. NEVER.

If millions were to become healthier, the system would fall on hard times, need a government (taxpayer) infusion of billions of dollars to keep it running. Your only salvation is to ignore the HHS, government and the medical mafia and do your own health...take responsibility and quit depending on useless cluckers and the madmen of medicine. That misdiagnosis may cost you more than a few bucks.

High costs are caused by the myth that all must have insurance-providers and customers. High civil law suit payouts. If providers didn’t have insurance they would have not be sued by lawyers for absurd payouts. Insurance costs care providers and customers. Raising prices for all and limiting care.

You are not looking at this from the perspective of someone with one or more serious morbidities whose only hope is the faith system currently in place. Slamming this info home, as you put it, will probably not get traction, because people choose familiarity and the FEELING of safety over change.

In addition, what will replace the current rituals? Acupuncture? A morning grounding session? Fruit juice enemas? Copying up to bacterial overgrowth and replacing germ theory with stories about friendly microbes and protective tumor growths?

Those who can process the information you present already are. That's the movement. It plays out as gradual change, and it does not win attention or recognition or stardom or appreciation for those of us who are impatient and/or starved for those things.

Kennedy is not all that relevant in the real and organic world in which meaningful changes occur. He is part of our hero worship disorder. Live on.

mo's avatar

A recent sickening, lasting impression is when he and the others flanked Trump during the clown show awarding Pfizer CEO Bourla another green light on his continued democide.

kelman taylor's avatar

Kennedy must surely still have some relevance although he is standing by as it is steadily diminishing. He must have to take things into account, which maybe are imperceptible to us.

I never imagined it would be playing out like this.

Walden Mathews's avatar

Yes, some relevance. What I meant by my comment is that people expect the stars to do the heavy lifting for us and tell us what to do. Meanwhile, the choices are ours and already available.

Sean Garrisson's avatar

I would bet many of the upcoming maimed and dead people that are trusting the government again, will disagree with your Kennedy is not all that relevant statement.

Should say "cozying up," not "copying up."

If viruses are real why do we spread colds on the summer in sunlight?

What I would like to know is RFK Jr.'s calculus. What pressures are on him? Is he being physically threatened? We know Trump has been threatened via two assassination attempts. Does this have anything to do with RFK Jr.'s limits on how open he can be? For instance, if RFK Jr. told everything you or I know about the COVID debacle, or about germ theory being proved false, about virology being a pseudoscience, about the fact that viruses have never been proven to exist and vaccines are just poisons because nobody needs them, what would doctors across the country think?

My guess is they would totally reject everything RFK Jr. says or does, he would be considered a danger to society, because doctors are indoctrinated to believe things, like believing in flying viruses, and their whole sense of being "good doctors" is based upon these beliefs. The alternative, to rejecting these indoctrinated beliefs, is to become a quack. That is how doctors became indoctrinated in the first place. They were told it is only quacks who use natural healing methods. They were told "real" doctors, "professional" ones, use the newest drugs, the radiation treatments, the chemotherapy, etc. To not use these is to become a danger to all patients. That is how doctors think.

So I'm just trying to imagine how any one individual can counter this. I am trying to imagine that any individual with power who tries, might easily be assassinated, for example, a young man who had the power of listening and speaking the truth was assassinated because he was changing the opinions of a lot of young people, and that was very threatening to those who feel their power slipping.

I don't know the answer, but as a retired MD I understand how doctors were trained to think, and their whole reason for being is to help people with their knowledge. If they find out that with their knowledge they are hurting a lot of people, I think that would be unacceptable to them. Some few brave souls would consider it and look into it, and maybe change, but most doctors would just think it's absurd to think they've been potentially hurting their patients through their whole career.

That's why I wish it were as simple as RFK Jr. just speaking the whole truth. In fact, I'm not sure even RFK Jr. himself knows the whole truth. But even if he did, it's a more complex problem with a more complex solution than just telling the doctors of the world that they've been damaging their patients.

And of course there are the pharmaceutical cartels to consider. They don't intend to give up their profits in drugs etc. They don't intend to put themselves out of business even if any of them realize they are in the business of causing harm to people. How they would respond to the truth is unclear. So far they appear to be just ignoring all the negative information that is becoming available to people. They are hoping people will judge it as "misinformation."

CarolS's avatar

Eve.....I agree with your comment. Personally, I believe RFK Jr. is under tremendous pressure and demonic forces are in place which can take his life or the life of a family member. They killed his uncle, his father, possibly JFK Jr, and concocted the Chappaquiddick incident.,making sure in all cases that no Kennedy would ever be in the White House again. RFK Jr. can only do what he can do. That's my opinion. I am a retired RN.

Eve's avatar

Yes. You make a lot of sense.

CarolS's avatar

And I worked in a university setting doing clinical research for the last 20 years of my career for the chair of GI. And these doctors had grants and international reputations in research and were not about to give it all up. They call me sometimes and there is no mention of the Covid debacle.

Eve's avatar

I realize that is true, those still working are just unaware. If they become aware they realize how they could lose their livelihoods should they act upon their knowledge. This is a terrible situation for America, and perhaps for the whole western world.

Multipolonius's avatar

As head of HHS ,Kennedy is doing what’s known as a ‘tap dance’ by balancing between trying to reform the incredibly corrupt and devastating medical cartel/big Pharma apparatus, and on the other hand , criticizing to such a vitriolic yet accurate extent , that the perception would be that Kennedy is doing harm to the important industries and economy he is overseeing !!!! This is why I think the “wearing of flip-flops” when he should be wearing steel bottomed black boots.

Jon; "And even if they did, they wouldn’t know how to use it"

Blasting, slamming, etc - is about the last thing they should 'do', when "And even if they did, they wouldn’t know how to use it"... w/out answers.

Vaccines - 100+ years of engrained culture.

Injury and deaths - 1000's of years of mis-diagnosis.

Could it be, they're working on a plan? I've followed Bobby for 5+ years now - he knows these numbers... but is likely having a helluva time trying to solve the problem. As a health advocate, it was easy to 'blast' those stats out. As head of HHS, I don't want to hear RFK spitting out stats, like a blogger does, when he doesn't have a plan to solve (yet).

Why would one cry to the sky, without a firm action plan? The wolf is in the henhouse and has been for centuries. Crying to the sky, doesn't solve anything.

Sean Garrisson's avatar

Vaccines - 100+ years of engrained culture.

Injury and deaths - 1000's of years of mis-diagnosis.

Do you now how to predict the future? When you do the same thing and don't change, you can bet your ass on what will take place.

The wolf is already in the hen house, so maybe run some studies, watch some reruns on tv, maybe admire its power, maybe act like you will get in his way and stop him but you really don't have the balls to do so so you won't even remotely try. But you can have the appearance that you are getting rid of the wolf by holding a powerful office and making promises to pacify your mesmerized followers while you let the wolf stick around indefinitely.

And what do you get?

More vaccines- 100+ more years of engrained culture.

More injuries and deaths- 1000's more of years of mis-diagnosis.

David In New Mexico's avatar

Revolutionary was diaries describe whole army units going for the pox treatment, then recovering in hospital

for week. They avoided small pox by inoculation with cow pox and still suffered gravely.

DBC's avatar

"... you won't even remotely try"

That's hyperbole.

How do you know that?

Disruptions? Yes, he's in that process, starting with firing the ACIP panel of ho's... dyes. In process of making the FDA the gold standard... when fully functional, "the science" will be deciding... not RFK's son.

I guess, what irks me, is that crying to the sky - does nothing. 7-8 months of planning (on the inside) won't solve centuries of flat earth bullsh!t from the witch crafters.

Sean Garrisson's avatar

I see. Your definition of crying to the sky disregards the idea that since RFK Jr or the media will not show the American Public MEDICAL TRUTH NOW as it is and the wolf is in the drivers seat, not him, not MAHA, just the wolf because hammering on MEDICAL TRUTH NOW is definitely not in the cards because truth is risky for politicians political futures and simultaneously, does nothing.

I see the light now. Thanks.

DBC's avatar

hahaha, what is it, about patience, that you don't get....

Sky screamers (generally left crazies) are effective?

Specifically, what's your action plan that RFK should do?

You already have enough stats for 'medical truth now'... w/out a plan, they're just stats.

Sean Garrisson's avatar

No no. I told you I see the light. The light was already there. But I couldn't see it for so long. Until you showed me.

You won't have to worry about me anymore because I see the light now. All that truth stuff is stupid. Especially without a plan.

This great information for us to share. However RFK makes moves as if he is in a court room. He keeps his strategy secret then reveals it at the appropriate time. A little at a time. That does not stop the rest of us from shouting from the rooftops.

Most people, I would suppose, rely upon the medical industrial complex, their government enforcers and “protectors”, and the recruits who seek a career, a livelihood, and opportunities to be of service to their fellow human beings, to contend with health problems as they manifest. From my perspective of this SYSTEM of providing what gets called medicine or healthcare , is in all of its facets a cross between a CULTure and a mafia. The CULTural dictates with which participants, adherents, and affiliates must comply in order to remain accepted and licensed are based upon misconceptions, fraud, and ignorance of ignorance.

While the emergency treatment for physical damage is often, as I see it, praiseworthy and effective, the long term care, preventive protocols, and ongoing efforts to promote optimal health and functioning is useless or absent as a result of misunderstanding the biological laws that govern the mind-body. Diagnoses and treatments, whether determined by AI programs or based on training received in medical school are bound to have failures as there is so much more to causal factorS that foster illness, ailments, and dysfunctions. There is a major lack of creativity, intuition, and insights that make medicine/healthcare less of an art form and more of a pseudo science and a business. The simple-minded system of “Name it, Blame it, and Tame it” is fortunately being replaced by practitioners who have taken back their agency and curiosity and are ready to Learn, Grow, Heal, and Contribute.

Why is it MD’s are the only ones with a higher education that we are forced to call doctor? Others with a doctorate degree in higher education are usually referred to by their name with letters behind their name and because of the ubiquitousness of PhD’s awarded the attainment is often ridiculed? The discipline and effort required is often mocked.

I'm all for RFK, Jr. and what he is trying to do. He and his team of Dr. Makary and Dr. Bhattacharya are unfortunately hobbled and impacted by the intransigence of the entrenched pharmaceutical behemoth that steers the medical system. The medical system has made the average person believe that pills are the answer to everything, and they are the pill suppliers. They have zero interest in helping the average American person wean themselves of that perception. And obviously will fight tooth and nail to stop anyone who does. And who knows by what means, when push comes to shove. Even the relatively innocent supplement industry thrives on the average person's belief that pills will cure all ails.

That said, western medicine is *excellent* for emergencies and surgeries, no doubt. I've had 2 open heart surgeries for a congenital bicuspid aortic valve and still put in 12+ hour work days on our dairy farm (I'm 63). A big part of that, after surgery, is that we my wife makes all our meals at home with animal-based fats and meat and lots of different dairy products (fresh and fermented) as well as trading for local vegetables during the growing season. Which brings to mind healthy food, which RFK, Jr is encouraging along with an unfortunately reluctant USDA Secretary.

I am flummoxed by something you mentioned: MAHA. You specifically mention their timidity and understanding of what RFK, Jr is up against and therefore not "going" for the jugular as they could and should. What I don't understand about MAHA is why on earth, in the quest for safer better foods, don't they simply OPENLY EMBRACE organics? It is already set-up and ready to go since the USDA Certified-Organic system as legislated by the Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 and its promulgation by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP). It is low-hanging fruit. No need to tilt at windmills. The regulations about zero synthetic dyes, zero standard chemical pesticides, zero antibiotics in the animals, etc (all stated goals of MAHA) are *already* on the books via the NOP. Why not FULLY embrace such existing policies and exclaim them from the roof tops ??

I don't fault RFK, Jr nor Dr. Makary for at least starting a new railroad track. The huge medical system track is getting blown up in a sense by the cleaning of the house at FDA and CDC of all the chummy coziness of career bureaucrats who are friends with those who they regulate.

But there is also already an existing legal track (certified-organic) needing no new legislation but which has not yet been utilized as it could be for the end goals of RFK Jr's MAHA adherents. Why not? That's my question.

Your already admittedly conservative estimate of 225000 needs to be updated to account for population growth and higher rates of pharmaceutical consumption.

We shouldn’t be looking to Kennedy for solutions to the problems, nor should he bear all the blame for failures. I think what he is not doing says much about how little power he has. He’s just a pimple on the head of the beast.
