This weekend I did the 6 hours of CE to renew my master plumbers license for my 2nd year in Texas. Last year I somehow I squeaked by the new fingerprint law that all licensees must have or you get no license, hence making it illegal to do your trade without registering your fingerprints with the board and the FBI. Probably because the law wasnt enacted until Jan, 1st 22. The reason they give is because there are so many new people moving to the great Independent state of Texas, and if you are or plan on becoming a criminal, they will have every licensee in a data base. They tell it is just a One and Done. You would never ever be asked to give your personal property again.
The Continuing Education teacher is like most people I have noticed in government jobs. Sellouts so they can keep their precious power and excellent at justifying, all of it. And great at understanding your concerns but it seems that the board itself is struggling in certain ways and the CE Teacher presented the case and encoarged all of us to start going to the board meetings. He mentions that only five others including himself and his CE boss and 3 other bad guys that are imposing to completely get rid of them and the current structure they have been part of for a long time.
So The CE Teacher shares a recent disgusting board meeting video with the class. He trying to give the students a taste of what goes on at them. A lot of it was actual grandstanding on how much success they have had getting so many people to give up their fingerprints, when they know there has been heavy opposition. So proud. They even brag how they went about it, first we imposed it only on the apprentice level and so on and so forth.
I get that licenses are control mechanisms, I dont even want one. Certify me, screw licenses. And seeing all of this collectivist, power hungry, unhealthy, weak, sell out people in politics, lefties and righties, even in an Independent state like Texas, and then imposing FBI fingerprints or you cant do your trade, is a police state gone way too far. I can go into politics or I can shop for a new state. Thanks for the offer and Ill conditionally accept, if you will eat shit and die.
I would defer to Hunter’s opinion of Jill. I think he is in a great position to judge her character. President Biden will be in a wheelchair any day, he simply can’t walk more than a few feet. That doesn’t mean he can’t be president, but it will force state media to explain what’s happening. Next he won’t be able to speak. It’s valid to shine the spotlight on Jill because they may let her finish his term. That’s how MO got Claire McCaskill. Seriously I don’t see any way he makes it to the end of his term. Has a president ever lost their mind while in office? What’s the precedent?
