My husband is retired nypd and wondered why the SS didn’t have handheld ballistic shields when they jumped on Trump instead of just using their bodies. Bullets can go thru 2 bodies. Also trumps head was often up and exposed while they were covering him onstage (for a long time) and not totally covered which is also a security failure. But that allowed for that “iconic” photo op of him with blood on his head and the flag in the background

For me, all the proof that it was staged is in the photos taken right afterward. They look like studio shots, perfectly posed with perfect blue sky background. Not rushed and messy like you’d expect from that situation. Trump didn’t jerk when he was “hit”, just clapped his hand to his ear. Blood packet hidden in his fist?

A couple of shots may have been required to zero in the target for a good shooter. At 130 yards, it should have been easy after that.

Oddly they were then able to do a head shot. I would think their strategy would be to hit what you can fast to disrupt shooting and then finish with a head shot.
