White House relocates to LA Netflix studio; “a new era”
Media outlets sat on the story for months
Insiders saw it coming. Media outlets sat on the story for months.
Now it’s official.
The White House is moving to LA. Netflix is building a special studio.
Biden spokesperson, Francis Q Lyman, told the New York Times: “We wanted to improve theatrical values, and this is the way to do it. Also, we can now concoct story lines for the Presidency in a clearer way. I would say that’s the main advantage.”
In a private conversation with me, Lyman spelled out his vision: “You’ve got intersecting and overlapping plots. The Ukraine, the southern border, racism, climate, crime, inflation, and so on. Instead of coping as crises arise, we can come up with weekly episodes for the public. Well-defined and well-produced. Beginning, middle, and end.”
Funding for the White House move comes primarily from the Gates Foundation, In-Q-Tel (the investment house of the CIA), and BlackRock.
