ARTICLE ONE: You Don’t Drain The Swamp, You Starve It

You may have noticed I’m all in on decentralization of power.

I realize that, for many people, this isn’t a titillating idea; they WANT TO BE titillated. They want deeper and deeper secrets exposed.

I understand that. I’ve exposed many secrets.

But the really exciting thing is taking power away from arch predators by putting it somewhere else, where it’s transformed into something new and energetic and good.

In the long term, directly attacking power at the top of the food chain doesn’t give us what we want. The real play is creating thousands of new smaller power centers.

You don’t drain the swamp, you starve it. You put it on bread and water.

Eventually, you politely say to the apex predators at the top of the food chain, “We have so many power centers now, the only way you motherfuckers can get your power back is by launching a total land war against the whole country with a few hundred thousand of your troops. Is that what you really want to do?”
