I think desiccated eggs on a plate is incredibly interesting, which is why I was a fan studying the history of Eisenhower, and I am a massive supporter of Ron DeSantis , although I prefer his party senior in 2024 ….

But idiosyncrasies aside, you are right Jon, DeSantis needs a touch more dynamism, electricity, , bravado, brashness, and a tiny dose of charisma, because he is truly a rare outstanding accomplished elected official !

Great points as always Jon. There's no question that DeSantis has a great deal of gravitas but unfortunately, he's not exciting. Trump, a complete fraud and a pathological. Narcissist is a showman and knows how to refine BS and make it smell like roses. I like DeSantis personally and all of your points that you made about him pushing back aggressively on the Covid nonsense are spot on. Unfortunately, in this day and age, the American people are disappointed and angry, but they are easily swayed and mislead and misdirected by hubris and glitz and kabuki theater. Assuming we were to have honest to goodness debates and did not have a mockingbird media , I would feel better about his chances. Look at what happened to Ted Cruz, how he was destroyed to a large degree by Trump's henchmen. Any man that can win the Iowa caucus by telling the people he would not support ethanol subsidies, has some real gravitas. Cruz won the Iowa caucus, but it was downhill from there, because the character assassination much of it promulgated by Trump himself destroyed him. Furthermore, as you know, Trump had every opportunity to introduce RFK Jr but was talked out of it by none other than Bill Gates himself that proves to me that Trump has no character. He has no honor. I guess he learned a lot from Roy Cohn back in the day.

Looks to me like Desantis has been incentivized to throw his '24 election bid.

Even if that's not the case, the moves he's made recently have stoked the left.

So if he runs on executive effectiveness, that would serve as the strongest "get out the vote" mechanism since Trump last ran.

He's also got nowhere near the "appeal" of Trump, yet he's seen as a mini Donald.

Barring a miraculous turn of events, he's got no chance of winning the general election.
